Ukraine’s Armed Forces: we’ve conducted successful operations in the left bank of Dnipro river

On Friday, 17 November, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced on its Facebook page that the Ukrainian military had conducted a series of successful undertakings on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region. According to the military, operations included sabotage, raids, and reconnaissance campaigns. Heavy fighting is ongoing.

According to the General Staff announcement, the Ukrainian military has been locating logistical supply routes used by the Russian army to deliver ammunition and food; Ukrainians have also been scouting locations of the Russian military personnel and equipment as well as positions of the Russian artillery in order for it to be later destroyed.

“Since the Defence Forces have started its offensive operations in the Kherson direction, the Russian army has lost 24 tanks, 89 artillery systems and mortars, 135 units of automotive equipment, 48 combat armoured vehicles, 9 MLRS, 14 watercrafts, 15 units of special equipment, 4 command points, and 29 ammunition depots. Additionally, 135 Russian FPV drones were destroyed, along with five tactical UAVs. Additionally, according to our data, 1216 members of the Russian military personnel were eliminated; another 2217 were wounded,” the statement says.

Earlier this morning, the Ukrainian Marine Infantry announced that Ukraine’s Defence Forces managed to secure positions on several footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River.

On Friday, 17 November, Iryna Vereshchuk, the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, said during the meeting with a delegation from the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) that “as of now, Ukraine’s Armed Forces have successfully liberated 963 settlements in Ukraine that were previously occupied by Russian forces”.
