On 6 June 2023, around 2:50 AM, Russian occupation forces detonated the dam of the Kakhovska Hydroelectric Power Station, causing a massive ecological disaster. Approximately 16,000 people were affected, and over 30 settlements were badly damaged or completely destroyed.
