On temporarily occupied territories, the Russians are unable to stabilise the regions to resume business and therefore imitate the creation of newly formed occupational governments merely for reporting back to Moscow.
Tyzhden has published information acquired from the National Resistance Centre (NRC) regarding the situation on Russian-occupied territories and the resistance of the population.
According to intelligence data from the southern regions of Ukraine that are temporarily occupied, the enemy is unable to install occupational regimes due to various hardships. All attempts during the past three months to enforce new, collaboration governments, have failed. The Russians lack the abundance of individuals to run such structures and above all, the main obstacle for them is the total resistance of the local population which is unwilling to collaborate.
Therefore, they resort to acting on the information front, so as to back up their reports of their successes back to their command. Their administrations do not work and their existence is merely on paper. The passportisation (the issuing of Russian passports to the local population) is unable to commence, while the introduction of the Ruble into the local monetary system has also failed.
At the same time, the invaders have serious problems with our NRC activity behind their lines. Partisans are systematically carrying out diversions and receive widespread support from the population.
It is the fear of the growth of local resistance that caused the invaders to try and disconnect the Kherson region from the internet. Furthermore, the invaders have disconnected the Kherson region from Ukrainian providers and mobile operators on the 30th of May. As it stands now, the local inhabitants are without Ukrainian mobile operators and internet access, as well as national and international calls via landline telephone.
It is becoming more noticeable that resistance is growing – particularly in Kherson. The streets of the city have been covered in yellow-blue, as well as flyers with warnings to the invaders have been pasted. Other cities were not far behind the regional capital. This is all happening as the tactical counterattack by the Ukrainian armed forces is progressing nearby Kherson. The Russians fear that the local partisans may launch an assault in their rear as the Ukrainian army approaches. Hence, the Russians decided to counteract the resistance by disabling various means of communication, thereby hindering the ability to coordinate for those who are in the resistance movement. The NRC published instructions on how to correctly install a VPN in order to make your mobile network more secure.
Powerful explosions in the port of Berdyansk
Ukrainian partisans continue to carry out diversions behind enemy lines. On the 2nd of June, Russian military cargo was targeted in the port of Berdyansk.
Considering the intensity of the explosions, the resistance has significantly disrupted the supply chain of ammunition to the Russian army. As repeatedly emphasised before, the NRC are experienced warriors which know how to work behind enemy lines. The military calls for civilians to join the resistance through means of civil resistance and sabotage.
