Advisors to Ukrainian President-elect Volodymyr Zelensky have met with representatives of the European Commission and ambassadors of the European Union member states in Brussels. "Great to welcome advisors of new Ukraine President Zelensky AlexDanyliuk and Ruslan Riaboshapka for an early visit of Brussels, including speaking to EU Ambassadors in the Political and Security Committee," Deputy Director-General of the Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) Katarina Mathernova wrote on Twitter on May 2, 2019. On Team Zelensky, Oleksandr Danyliuk is responsible for international relations, economics, financial and banking policies, while Ruslan Riaboshapka – for law enforcement oversight and anti-corruption policies.
