Respective decrees No684 and 685 dated December 14 are on the President’s official website.
“The President hopes that Prosecutor General will investigate these events objectively and comprehensively, and offer legal punishment for the illegal actions taken,” the President’s press service notification says.
The President also recommended law enforcers to “hold an open and transparent investigation and solve this question.”
“No state official should be an exception to being held liable for illegal actions,” Yanukovych stressed.
Earlier, Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka named those involved in the forced dispersal of the peaceful EuroMaidan on November 30. In addition to Volodymyr Sivkovych and Oleksandr Popov, they include Volodymyr Koriak, Chief of the Kyiv Militia, and Petro Fedchuk, Deputy Chief for Civil Security.
President Viktor Yanukovych ordered this after the roundtable where he first spoke of the three people directly involved in the decision on the dispersal of the student protest on November 30.
