Ukrainian authorities began to fine for the lack of a mask in public places and transport. The corresponding law No. 1000-IX came into effect today, November 21.
Verkhovna Rada adopted the relevant law on the mandatory wearing of masks or respirators in public places and transport on November 6.
The document provides for a fine for the absence of a mask in the amount of 170 to 255 UAH (6-8 USD).
People will be fined for staying in public buildings, structures, public transport during quarantine without wearing personal protective equipment, in particular respirators or protective masks that cover the nose and mouth.
Violators can be fined on the spot, and not through the courts.
