Ukrainian law enforcers detain Belarusian citizen wanted by Interpol

Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have detained a citizen of Belarus who is wanted by Interpol on charges of molestation. A request for the detention of 33-year-old Alexander Zatovka was sent to Interpol's Bureau in Ukraine, the media relations office of Ukraine's Interior Ministry reported on its website on August 5.

In Belarus, he is charged with committing crimes under Part 3 of Article 167 (violent acts of sexual nature), Part 1 of Article 169 (sexual abuse), and Part 3 of Article 343-1 (production and distribution of child pornography) of that country's Criminal Code. The detainee is facing deportation.
