Former Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada deputy and former transport and communications minister Mykola Rudkovsky has been detained in Moscow on suspicion of attacking the Russian embassy in Kyiv in 2014.
“Rudkovsky was detained on Novaya Basmannaya Street in the center of Moscow on September 28,” the source said.
Investigative Committee spokesperson Svetlana Petrenko said in February 2017 that Russia had charged Rudkovsky in absentia with attacking an internationally protected establishment.
On June 14, 2014, Rudkovsky, “along with other individuals, was involved in damaging the Russian embassy’s property, including by pelting the facade of the building with improvised means,” Petrenko said.
