Ukraine has announced the completion of the withdrawal of forces and weapons at disengagement site No. 2 near the village of Zolote-4 in Luhansk region. "Representatives of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM), using, among other things, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), verified our activities," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said on Facebook in its evening update on November 1.
The JFO stresses that in the event of a threat to life or health of Ukrainian soldiers, the seizure of territories, or the penetration of enemy reconnaissance troops and saboteurs, the Ukrainian military will give an adequate response. In addition, during the current day, November 1, armed groups of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire five times. The enemy fired on the positions of Ukrainian military units, using 120mm mortars, as well as grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms. As UNIAN reported earlier, the disengagement of forces and weapons near the village of Zolote-4 along both sides of the contact line began at noon on October 29. In particular, forces and equipment in the Zolote disengagement site should be withdrawn to a distance of 1 km; the process should last no more than 30 days.
