The press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) has reported Russia's FSB border guards have detained fishermen from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine in the Taganrog Bay. "The Russian-controlled self-proclaimed administration responsible for the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine Illegally makes fishermen pay in favor of the occupying authorities. This forces people into taking risks and looking for a better fishing yield off the coast of the aggressor country, facing a risk of detention by the Russian FSB border guards," the JFO's press center wrote on Facebook.

Officers of the Russian FSB Border Guard Service on October 12 detained Ukrainians who were fishing in a small boat in the sea near the village of Veselo-Voznesenka (Russia). The Ukrainian fishermen went to sea from the temporarily occupied village of Kholodne, Donetsk region. "Russia's FSB border guards report the Ukrainians had no permission to catch fish there, therefore an administrative case was opened against them," the report says. In this regard, the Ukrainian border guards recommend that fishermen carry identity documents with them, as well go to sea from the established bases and do not depart too far off the coast.
