This was said in a statement by the British Embassy in Ukraine on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries on January 10.
"Today marks the 29th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the UK and Ukraine. The UK strongly supports Ukraine's independence and territorial integrity and will continue to do so in the future," the embassy posted on Twitter.
The diplomats also recalled that Ukraine and the UK signed a "historic" strategic partnership agreement last year, which opens up new opportunities for deepening British-Ukrainian relations and cooperation.
As Ukrinform reported, on October 8, 2020, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson signed the Agreement on Political Cooperation, Free Trade, and Strategic Partnership between the countries.
