The number of registered internally displaced persons who fled from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea as of February 10 amounted to 1,440,167, the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine reported. The report does not indicate how many families have been registered. Neither does it show the volume of financial support the government has provided to the affected citizens

As UNIAN reported earlier, after Russia's annexation of Crimea in March 2014 and the beginning of the anti-terrorist operation in the Donbas in April of the same year, a large number of IDPs from Crimea and war-affected areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions started fleeing the conflict-struck areas to the government-controlled territory. At the beginning of 2019, the number of registered internal migrants from Crimea and Donbas stood at 1,512,435.
