President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated this while speaking to the servicemen of the Joint Forces on the occasion of Infantry Day during his working visit to Donetsk region, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"In total, we have lost 2,973 Ukrainian soldiers during the Russian aggression in Donbas," the head of state said.
Poroshenko also stressed that Russia had not abandoned its “aggressive intentions” regarding Ukraine.
