Twenty-two new flights have started from the airports of Ukraine, of which the Ryanair low-cost airline will do the most – 12 from Kyiv and five from Lviv, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said.
“I dreamt about this when, on June 11 last year, we opened symbolic doors to Europe, when we were introducing a visa-free regime. Now we are expanding travel opportunities for Ukrainians at competitive prices. Visa-free regime operates, and Europe is becoming closer and more affordable,” he wrote on Facebook.
In addition, according to the head of the Ukrainian state, Wizz Air, Tarom and Atlasglobal will open new flights.
