European Commission: Ukraine-Customs Union cooperation shouldn't prevent signing of Association Agreement

European Commission has underlined that cooperation between Ukraine and the Customs Union should not contradict Ukraine's future commitments under the agreement, reports Interfax-Ukraine News Agency.

“We recall our position that any form of cooperation between Ukraine and the Customs Union should not contradict Ukraine's future commitments under the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, including its Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area and should leave intact the possibility to signing it,” Peter Stano, the spokesperson for EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule, told an Interfax-Ukraine reporter.
